You must have seen times when you need to take a screenshot on Mac and you can’t because you don’t know how to take a screenshot on a Mac.As a blogger I regularly take screenshots on my Macbook and i know it’s not that much easy to take a screenshot on Mac if you don’t know how!

You must have used Windows and it’s quite easy to take screenshots on windows using the “Prn Sc Sys Rq”.Using the print screen button you can easily take screenshots in windows but unfortunately you will not find these buttons on a Mac Laptop.The questions like how to take a screenshot on mac is quite common these days on internet and forums.I also received some because i was writing many posts on Windows but not Mac.

How to take a screenshot on a Mac:-

1). Command+Shift+3– Holding down Command,Shift and 3 together will take the screenshot of the entire screen.

2). Command+Shift+4– It transforms the cursor into a cross-hair that you can use to select a portion over the screen and when you release the mouse shot is taken and saved.

3). Screenshot of an open Window-Press Command+Shift+4 and hit Spacebar.Hitting The space bar will turn the cross hair into a camera which you can move over any open Window.Then click on your desired windows to take a screenshot of it.
